Welcome to Perqit ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you request and use a digital loyalty or gift card powered by Perqit.

This policy applies exclusively to customers (end-users) who download and use loyalty or gift cards issued by businesses through our platform. The privacy policy for businesses can be found here.

1. What Information We Collect

To provide and manage your digital wallet cards, we collect a minimal amount of information:

• Email Address: We store your email address solely to send you the secure link to download your card and to identify and link your card to your profile.
• Device ID (Apple Wallet Users Only): If you use Apple Wallet, we also register your device identifier. This technical data is strictly required so that we can send live updates (such as point balance changes) directly to your pass.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used strictly for the functioning of the service:

• To deliver your loyalty or gift card to your email.
• To identify your card when you visit a participating business and your barcode is scanned.
• To sync real-time updates to your digital wallet (for Apple Wallet users).

We will never sell, rent, or trade your email address or personal data to any third parties.

3. What the Business (Merchant) Can See

When you present your card in a store and the merchant scans your barcode, the merchant can view your email address solely for verification and point/credit allocation purposes.

• Merchants cannot arbitrarily extract your email address from the system or use it to send you external marketing emails.
• If our policy regarding merchant access ever changes, we will notify you by sending an updated privacy statement. If you do not agree with the changes, you will retain the right to have your data removed.

4. Your Rights and Data Deletion

You are in control of your data at any time:

• Deleting Your Email: You can request to have your email address completely removed from our systems by sending an email from your registered address to info@perqit.com. Please note: If you choose to delete your email, we will no longer be able to help you recover your card if it is lost or deleted from your wallet.
• Removing Your Device ID (Apple Wallet): If you wish to stop receiving live updates, you can also request the removal of your Device ID by emailing info@perqit.com from the same email address. Please note: Without your Device ID, we can no longer push live updates to your pass, though you will still be able to manually refresh your card.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. If significant changes are made that affect your rights regarding how we handle your email or data, we will notify you via email. Continued use of your card after such notice constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
